Third annual event raises over
$3,000 for Make-A-Wish Foundation!
In another highly successful event, 36 teams took part in the third annual Wifflin’ for Wishes tournament to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of MN® ... Thanks to the generosity of all 36 teams as well as the generosity of our sponsors, $3,100 was raised this year... a fantastic job and kudos to all involved!
A heavy, damaging early morning storm gave way to great weather, enabling the tournament once again to go off without a hitch at beautiful Hopkins Central Park. Mike Max from WCCO came out to the festivities and even took a few hacks in with the tourney goers! Check out the quick video above of CCO’s coverage of our event!
Unfortunately, the nasty weather returned later in the evening, forcing an unplanned end to the championship, where both teams agreed to name themselves Co-Champions! Congrats to both the Sheboygan Friars and Tom Emanski’s All-Stars for their great performances!
The HRL: Twin Cities thanks everyone from our generous sponsors to the spectator who bought a can of pop, you were all instrumental in helping us help a fantastic cause, and have a great time doing it! We look forward to installment #4 next summer!
